Colette is the founder and director of the Breastfeeding Resource Center in Abington, Pennsylvania, a non-profit organization that has revolutionized lactation care in the Philadelphia area. Under her leadership, the BRC employs 20 IBCLCs providing both clinical and home visit services, while training over 50 community counselors who offer year-round support. Her innovative approach includes developing comprehensive programs for underserved communities, such as the Holly Program offering free lactation visits for Medicaid recipients, and the Looks Like Me Scholarship promoting diversity in the field. Through hospital partnerships and a structured mentorship program, Colette has created a sustainable model for training new IBCLCs while ensuring accessible, expert care for families of all backgrounds.
