USLCA is excited to announce two new prospective board members. In accordance with the USLCA bylaws, directors will be elected by a ballot vote of the membership, by a majority of ballots returned. A tie vote shall be decided by lot.
IBCLC members of USLCA are eligible to vote. Voting will be open from January 24-February 24.

Dominique Gallo, BS, IBCLC, RLC

Biography: I have been helping mothers and advocating for breastfeeding for the past 6 years and has been an IBCLC for the past 2 years. I am a wife to a wonderful husband and mommy to two beautiful girls and one adventurous little boy.
How will you make a difference: I think that I can bring diversity to the board and a different perspective on how to support the IBCLC. My work and experience within different breastfeeding groups and within different breastfeeding agencies can help expand the reach of USLCA.
Why you want to serve on the Board: I want to serve on the USLCA Board of Directors because I want to do more to support my fellow IBCLC and other women in lactation. I want to help make sure that all women who want the care of an IBCLC will have access to care from an IBCLC. I want to make sure that IBCLC is a known and respected credential.

Michelle Stulberger, MHA, IBCLC, RLC

Biography: I hold a Bachelor degree in Psychology, Masters of Healthcare Administration, and IBCLC (2014.) I am the Director of Business Operations for Metropolitan Breastfeeding & Littlebeam in Bethesda, MD, where I run the businesses and also see patients.
How will you make a difference: My background is a great combination of both business and clinical experience. With strengths in both areas, I am able to bring insight and new ideas to USLCA. I am organized and innovative and enjoy collaborating with a team. I believe these characteristics will allow me to help strengthen USLCA for all IBCLCs in the US.
Why you want to serve on the Board: I’m interested in helping USLCA be the “go-to” organization for IBCLCs, and believe that my passion for both improving access to care and assisting IBCLCs in growing their practices as desired will be an asset to the organization. I am excited to continue to learn from our community and apply that knowledge to our professional organization.
