Congratulations to the 2024 winner!
WALC, established in August 1988, was created to build a community for IBCLCs across Wisconsin who worked in isolation from one another, particularly before widespread internet access. The organization provides essential opportunities for education, networking, and professional support, helping practitioners feel connected in their work. Today, WALC hosts four quarterly online meetings with educational components and a popular annual conference offered both in-person and online. The conference continues to provide valuable social time for members to reconnect. The organization thrives through its diverse group of dedicated professionals who work collaboratively while respecting their differences and advocating for the families they serve. Some additional highlights: WALC has awarded over $43k in grants and $8k in scholarships over the last 5 years.
