USLCA appreciates the questions and interest of our members. If you have a question, please let us know by sending to info@uslca.org. We thank you for your involvement in your national professional association.

What is different?

Q.What differences will I notice as a member?

A. The biggest difference members will notice this year is that dues are now un-bundled. When you join ILCA you will no longer receive an automatic membership to USLCA. USLCA will now collect its dues separately.  USLCA will now be operating with its own employees that work full-time to accommodate member needs.

Q. Was USLCA free before??

Your USLCA has never been free.  When dues were bundled with ILCA, the fee was split between the 2 organizations with USLCA receiving $63 of every membership fee. We have done our best to keep the USLCA dues similar to the cost of last year.

Q. Is there a conflict between USLCA and ILCA?

Absolutely not. USLCA and ILCA share a common mission and both will continue to advocate for the IBCLC. USLCA will focus on issues such as reimbursement, licensure, and access to IBCLC care.

Q. I paid $191 to join both organizations last near. Will I now have to pay that much to join each?

A. No, the $191 was the cost of a bundled membership and included dues for both organizations. Of the $191, USLCA received $63 as your member dues. This year to join USLCA the membership dues will be; Student: $39, Group (of 5 of more): $69/person, Individual: $76, Contributing Professional: $99.

Q. What will I get for my USLCA membership?

A. Your USLCA membership includes a subscription to Clinical Lactation, regular eNews, discounts on webinars, access to “Members Only” resources on our website and most importantly, a voice of advocacy for YOU, the IBCLC professional, at the national level. We are making progress and with your continued support, will continue to address issues that matter most to the US-based IBCLC.

How do I join?

A. USLCA is excited to have launched our new online system. By visiting www.uslca.org/join you can now renew and update your profile online.

Q. How do I sign-up with a group?

A. Your group can sign-up online using a credit or debit card. You will start by submitting the payment for the whole group using the “Purchase a Group Membership” link.  The person who made the payment will receive a coupon code within 24-48 hours to be forwarded onto each member of the group.  Each individual member is then responsible for their own membership.  By logging in or creating a profile you will be able to update your profile and renew your membership by entering discount code in the payment box to reflect a zero dollar ($0) balance due.

Q. What if I want to send a check?

A.Please visit www.uslca.org/join to print off a membership application. You may then send in your application with a check to the address on the form. Please note that this option will take 2-3 weeks to process. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Q. How do I log in? I don’t know my username and password.

A. If you are a renewing member you may sign-in using your email address. You will then have the option to reset your password. If you have any problems logging in, USLCA staff is standing by to assist you over the phone. Please call 202-738-1125.

Q. I changed my username and/or password on the ILCA site, why isn’t that working on the USLCA site?

A. The ILCA and USLCA membership database systems are no longer linked.  Any changes you make to your user profile on either website will not reflect on the other.  Please log-in to each site respectively to make necessary changes.

Q. Can I pay over the phone?
